Can it really be 38 years?! That is several lifetimes for many of us (like my kids- I know, I am not that young either people).
We love you Mom and Dad. Happy Anniversary to you! You should treat yourselves to a little get-a-way vacation. Like a lovely little destination called Albuquerque. Great amenities and excellent food I hear. :)

Make that 35 reassons Girl!
Or did I just ruin the 30 factor in this online surprise? In that case I'll go by A, B, C...
A. So fun to be around! Even going to Shop Ko is fun with you!
B. Always looks for possibilities instead of reasons not to do something (I was practically crying in my bed when I turned 30, you just go on a trip! Way to go!)
C. You keep me very alert! Going on a train to Paris alone, giving me 'wrong' train info, men I was worried, but it only made me realise how much I care!
D. You made me appreciate naps!
E. She totally made my year in the US, by sharing your bedroom, your friends, your life basically with me!
Happy 30!
Love!

YoHoo! Wendy-Lohoo!
21. She won't take anyones crap! "Try telling this nurse you don't like the hospital food! I dare you!"
22. You can pick Wendy out in a growd by her healthy laugh!
23. What an example of a well rounded woman. Creative crafter, Kenpo Karate Kicker, Movie Master, Sensitive sister, Hostess with the Mostess, Fiel Friend (Fiel means loyal in portuguese), NeoNatal Nurse.
24. She helped me fix up my house just for fun!
25. I love wendy because she is fiercely loyal. We've all crossed her at one point and seen a side of her that make me have pitty on her enemies but,.... the side we all know is that she will stand by us and defend us no matter what. I have memories of wendy developing a quick hatred for any kids that ever mistreated me. Thanks for sticking by me and protecting me!
I love you.

19. She has a permanent smile
20. She is not afraid to hop in a car, plane, train, bike, trike, whatever it may be and explore the world

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
#11 Your creativity is astounding. You have a never ending supply of something new and wonderful. Just ask a teeming group of 13 yr old girls at camp!
#12 You have saved me from smearing peanut butter all over my face many a times. (watch the kindergarten teacher on 'Billy Madison'-only PB instead of glue)
#13 You are a Disney Princess through and through. For a little girl who doesn't have a sister of her own, that's very important. Way to be great, Aunt Wendy.
#14 Summertime swimming and eating tart apples off your tree together will be memories that we will always talk about. You are so open and sharing, even Jango felt right at home.
#15 You have a sense of style that is fun and classy and can not be duplicated. Believe me, I've tried but I just can't get all the pieces to look good together like you do. You have a real eye for looking good. I hope it makes me look good, just standing next to you.
Happy Birthday Wendy! This is so much better than having to listen to me sing again!

This, That and a Movie Star
What we've been up to:

Sleeping through his first parade--4th of July, Park City Main Street.
Visiting Lucy at the cemetery.
Slobbering like a fool.
Having moles removed. Beauty.
Having dinner with the Livingstons. Lance is head of Summit County Search and Rescue and performed CPR on Lucy. It was a very touching and emotional dinner. (And yes, I purchased a Spider Man and Super Man t-shirt from the little boys section of Old Navy. Who needs lingerie when your husband drools over this stuff?)
Curling my "long" hair.
Chopping my long hair.
Reading at night with a sexy headlamp.
Taking our neighbors to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House.

Visiting daddy at work.

Trying out the Bumbo for the first time--he's a pro.
Vic going a little crazy over summer produce. You cannot send that man to the grocery store unsupervised.
Attending my Illinois Peoria "Sisters only"Reunion and discovering that I served with one of Vic's best friends sisters. (make sense?...his friend is Kent Nelson). And getting to see my trainer (the gal to my left in blue) was a treat. Love her!
Trying out the Johnny Jumper for the first time. Lots of tears thinking of Lucy in it. Again, he's a pro. "I think I'm ready to go pro."
Getting chunky and enjoying bath time. He's such a little man! Look at those Popeye arms.
Discovering his thumb and getting caught red handed!
Chillin with the neighborhood mooses (meese? moosen?) while garage Saleing. Yes, that's a technical term. Garage Sailing. (sale-ing?)
Nap time with Daddy.
Taking Peter to see his first film--in order to prepare him for his upcoming acting debut. We saw UP and it was incredibly darling. We may or may not have cried quite a little bit.
Going on short jogs on Saturday mornings. No big whoop. Oh, wait--a half marathon.
Peter's first job...in a film....as a girl. He's going to kill us when he's older. His character's name was Bella. Sorry, Peter. We had an enormous and professional film crew at our home for an entire day/night (they left at 2 a.m.) It was quite the experience. Watch for the film "Blue Door" (Actually, it's "I Live in the House with the Blue Door") at the Sundance and Cannes Film Festivals!
Our loft turned into the makeup studio.
Our garage became the main hub. It was so funny to drive home and see all the neighbor kids out on our lawn getting autographs. They even asked for mine. The best part was that it was catered so we ate to our hearts content. Dee-lish.
The lead actor made the neighbor girls swoon. Great guy. I didn't swoon. I tried not to.
It was amazing what they could do with lighting. It was after midnight and it looked like the middle of the day inside the house. The neighborhood was buzzing with excitement. Also in the film (and a super sweet guy) was Tyler--winner of Amazing Race Season 9. The whole crew was wondering why we still have a Christmas tree in our living room. It was neat to have the opportunity to talk about Lucy and I was so surprised at their very sincere and kind reactions.
We're enjoying lots of walks and runs before the weather turns cold.
Cuddle time with mom is the best. That's a wrap!

I'm home
Ok, its all over. Any questions? Comments? I dont have jet lag too bad this time, so thats nice. But being in Europe made me really grateful for America and all the things we have.
The last few days we spent in Norway. It was really pretty up there. Oslo feels a lot like Salt Lake. The temperature was perfect, so we took a ferry across to another city. That was pretty cool.
I'm not sure what my favorite part of it all was. Its hard to say. Everything was so different, and cool in its own way, I'm not sure I could pick a favorite.
We didn't have any problems really. Didn't get robbed.. we did get lost a few times, and missed a couple busses. We almost didn't make it to the airport in time to make our flight from Paris to Rome. Luckily we had a taxi just waiting for us. It cost us 130 Euros! Thats over 150 dollars. But luckily we split it with two other travelers.
We loved the food, the gelato, and all the art! I saw a lot of really famous paintings. It was nice being there with Rachel too, cause she's an art major. So anytime a famous artists' work was there, so told me about them. Like why they were famous, why that painting was famous, etc. It was pretty cool. Um.. lets see. What else. Oh, I brought home loads of chocolate, so if you want to get in on that action just let me know!

The Spanish Steps in Rome
The Rodin Museum. He's the artist who sculpted "The Thinker"
Just relaxing.
Oh this is the coolest sculpture. Its of two people about to kiss, but look, you can see through it! Thats wild. It was beautiful.

The Thinker
I thought this was cool. A breakdancer, next to a modern art fountain, next to a really really old church in Paris.
Just a gorgeous room.
