It sure looks fun to go swimming and eating etc.at Wendy and Pete's. We met Vic and Molly at 7 peaks last week. The water was great. There were a million people there but glad to end the summer that way. Dad and I went down the tube. At 7 peaks there are other old grandma's with their grandchildren so we are not so wierd. We still get in our hot tub to relax.
I sure miss Lucy today. Can't talk about her with out getting weepy. I just can't stop thinking what she is doing. We talk about death alot it seems. Mom and Dad are approching that time. Mom is a little scared. Dad is sad about loosing Mom, who knows who goes first but he thinks it will be her. I know this will be something we will always talk about and wonder. Wish those boarders were't so firm. I do believe Heavenly Father knows what he is doing. I am trying harder to write in my jornal, read my scriptures( did it before) and fast and etc. Just be better. Then I slip and wonder, why can't I learn this and change.
Thanks for your calls. It means alot. We pray for you all and remember your needs.
Peggy got here diploma in the mail! She is a graduate. Yeah for Peg. Shall we celebrate at Thanksgiving? Love MOm

You may already know, but Wendy and I (Kristyn) spent our birthday celebrations together this year. We went swimming in Wendy's backyard, and Pete grilled up some of the best hot dogs, chicken, and hamburgers on his hickory barbeque. That is seriously the best invention - the instant smoky flavor and smell is intoxicating. Anyway, here's the pics of that day!Does anyone else think that Wendy looks like the spitting image of her mother in this picture???

"NOOOO! Stop!!! Don't take my pict-!!"

Thank you for the Anniversary Gift. New pots and pans! Just like a wedding gift. They are beautiful. Our kids are so thoughtful! We love you all! We love the card and emails. They were really cute. (tattoos for all for thanksgiving!)

Dad said, 'These pans still have useful life in them. We Can't throw them away.' Boing! 'OK, how about giving them to D.I. or at least taking them to the metal salvage yard!'

Blog Neglect

I got on the blogs today to find few new updates (way to go Molly!) Bummed at first, I thought about all our jokes about blog neglect. But when I thought about all the things that are happening in our lives. Vic and Molly- really living and winning, Sam-fixing cars, work, serving with YM, Joy-a new bathroom, prep. for a reunion, three kids, and out of town husband, Paul & Kristyn, a new house and ALL that goes with it, Wendy-wonderful new job, Peggy, graduation, new roommates, work, taking over the world (wait-Peg you have no excuse)& Mom & Dad, taking care of Grandma & Grandpa, work, retirement. Well, I think its about time we started to neglect our blogs a little and not our lives! I'm going to find something usefull to do. I love you all-see you in November.

Happy Birthday Wendy!
Wendy always stood out in our family-by 4 inches! (jk) She never had anyone to share her birthday month with until now thanks to Jason and Kristyn. Now this month is such a special one... its birthday time for you! We love you! Thanks for being there, sharing fun and helping out when ever you could. You've helped us paint, babysat, gone on our annual water park day, not to mention the Michael Bubble' concert. Hope this year is even better than the last 29! Hey look, now you share the same age as me! Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Champ!

To Kristyn; who is wonderful!
Happy Birthday! You are behind almost every fun event and picture we have! (Which is why this is the only one I could find.) The Olympic party, sumo wrestling stuffed with cloths, golfing, the green fountain, all great times! You are upbeat to talk to, and if I ever need to hear a positive word, I call you! You babysit at a moments notice, you have great taste and great hand-me-downs! (We love the bedspread.) You deserve a fabulous day- Paul, no pressure! We're glad you are a part of this crazy family!

Happy Birthdays and remembering

Jason's birthday was Monday. We made the jalapeƱo cream cheese bacon wrap thingies from Jen Jackson's blog (she and Ian made them a while back). They were SO GOOD! Those were just the appetizers and really just for Jason and I. I did not want to share with the kids. And then I realized that if Jason and I were eating them ourselves... that means we both ate HALF a BLOCK of cream cheese and HALF a package of bacon each. And some jalapeƱos. WHOA. But oh they were so good. We went for a walk after (which helped with the grease pit in our stomaches) and ended up at the park where the kids played.

But I wanted to tell you what we had for the main course and what dawned on me. For the main course of dinner we had hot dogs. Lucy's favorite. Jason turned 32 on August 11th. Lucy would have been 2 and 2 months on August 11th.

Lucy we still think about you a lot.

Le wanted me to put the links to everyone's blog on this parent blog. I tried to do it through photos, because really, photos are always better than text. I tried to pick a few from everyone's blog or from what I had on my computer, BUT, if anyone apposes to this, doesn't like the photo I picked for them, or is in the Witness Protection Program and can't have their photo displayed like this, lemme know. Then I'll plaster your photo especially big. Just kidding. But seriously, just drop a line. And Peggy - there's something wrong when the only picture I have of you is from Xmas. Sitting in a car. Can you send me another one? Thanks everyone.

Are You Up for the Challenge?

I love the Ensign. Do you? I read this article in the April issue and have NOT been able to get it out of my mind since. Every time something happens, for good or bad, I instantly revert my thoughts to where I was when I read the article, the feelings I had, the whole moment comes back to me. The article is about journal writing, a pretty important subject if you ask me. So with that I'm issuing a challenge for the month of August to everyone who reads this blog: write in your journal every single day for the whole month. I've heard that it takes 30 days to form a pattern, and 90 days to form a habit, so I hope the month gives enough time to get you into the groove. I'm going to do it, join with me!

P.S. The article is extremely short, even more reason to pull it up and read it!

Yes, as Linda said in her coment, the Jackson reunion is the 14th at Harold and Verla. Ben gets married the 15th.

Tuesday, July 29, 2008

Just so you know, we will be having a Hope reunion Aug. 11 at Uncle Dennis's. Vanita and Brents will be here. Then we will be having a Jackson reunion Aug. 15th. at Herold and Verla's. Ben will be getting married in Bountiful on the 16th. Should see all of Andrew and Linda's family. Peggy is getting her papers turned in for her internship and then graduation in April I think. Anyway, she is done with school.
Love you all, and miss you too. Mom

This is going to be the new bathroom. It will be easier for Grandpa and Grandma to use. It should be done by Sat. It is in the master bedroom. Its the same four walls but different shower and "jon". New floor like the one Paul put in the other bathroom a few years ago. Can I say here how much I miss Paul. He was so handy.

This is another colledge student that comes home and sleeps. Remember when you older kids did that? Is it late nights or just a comfortable couch?

Bear loves Le. He will do anything for him. Le was asleep and Bear just let him put his legs over him. They stayed that way for awhile.
